Cultural events
Annual events such as the Opera Festival, Birgufest, Malta Arts Festival, Valletta Baroque Festival, Zejt Iz-Zejtun amongst a few.

Festas
During the summer villages usually celebrate a 1 week Festa largely a celebration of a religious figure but incorporating many local activities.

Music concerts
World class performers come to Malta at various events including the Isle of MTV and the Malta Jazz Festival.

Clubbing
Paceville is the heart of Malta's year round nightlife but there are various summer venues elsewhere on the island such as Gianpula.

Theatre, Opera & classical music
Venues include Manoel Theatre, St. James Cavalier, Mediterranean Conference Centre. Maltese born Opera singer Joseph Calleja is one of the worlds top singers.

Casinos
With a growing number of casinos this is one of Malta's alternative entertainments.

Sporting events
Various tournaments are held in Malta, but mostly Malta hosts cycling, marathon and triathlon type events.
