Teach at Alpha School Malta

We are always happy to hear from enthusiastic professional teachers who would like to join the Alpha School Team.

Please apply only if you already hold a valid ELT permit or clearly meet the current ELT Council requirements to apply for one. 

• Minimum requirements

be at least 18 years old, provide a recent Police Conduct, hold a SEPTT certificate, where required, meet one of the following qualification routes.

An  A’ Level in English with grades A, B or C together with a TEFL Induction course certificate (approved by the ELT Council), a pass in SEPTT and a clean police conduct.“

OR

“CELTA, Cert.Tesol or any comparable or higher qualification recognized by the Malta Qualifications Council and approved by the ELT Council together with a pass in SEPTT and a clean police conduct.” 

For Social Security and Tax reasons, a Maltese Identity Card is vital. This can be obtained from Evans Building, Valletta. You will need an address in Malta to apply for this I.D. Card.

In the near future all EFL teachers must sit the Ministry TELT exam before they receive a Teaching Permit.
