I did a 5 month internship at Alpha School of English. It was a really good experience; my colleagues were friendly and very helpful. My tasks were very diverse, from group leading to bookings and administration - I discovered a lot. I improved my English and gained confidence, which were my main goals from the start. I met interns from many different countries and I enjoyed unforgettable moments with them. Malta is a beautiful, sunny island with many things to do and see. The whole experience started off with a nice welcome when they picked me up from the airport. At school, it got even better - there was a relaxed atmosphere during classes, and the opportunity to use the interactive whiteboard was an asset too. I really liked that the students were lively and cheerful.

I really liked the classes with Bill and Mary. We had many opportunities to speak freely, and we also learnt about some Maltese history. On some days, we went outdoors for our lessons, and I thought that it was great that we could go out of the classroom. It was exciting and something new for most of us. Hi, I’m Valentin from France. I’m a Management and Accounts student, and I came to Malta for 3 months (May - July 2017) for a linguistic internship. My role as an intern was working as an Administrative Assistant for Alpha School of English.

During my stay at Alpha, I worked in close collaboration with my supervisor, who gave me a variety of tasks ranging from communication, statistics, administrative duties, accommodation and much more. The school has a strong family atmosphere, and very helpful staff, which is why I thought that working under these conditions was a very good experience for me.

Another thing that I really liked was the fact that at the school, there were other interns from all across Europe, and it was a really nice opportunity for us to learn about different cultures, and share things about our own. I also got to manage some excursions in Malta with groups of students during my stay.

This internship gave me the opportunity to really practice and improve my English, as well as develop several office skills. I also received a 2-week English course free of charge, which helped me improve my English that much more.

Alpha gave me responsibilities which really gave me the impression that I was useful to the school and it made my daily work a lot more interesting and enjoyable. I wish to sincerely thank the school, the interns, and the staff at Alpha for their contribution to my great experience.
