Areas covered in this course include language for classroom management and communication, psycholinguistics, design of materials, the use of songs, games, drama, art and storytelling in the pre-school English classroom.
Aimed at Teachers of English to very young learners (age 3-6) at pre-school or early primary level.
This language course will enable educational practitioners to improve their skills of teaching, supporting and motivating very young learners of English. It aims to provide fun and practical ideas in a professional environment where all those taking part can share their best practice and ideas. At the beginning of the week, a young learner curriculum will be developed and throughout the week participants will consider how activities can be used to meet this curriculum.
The course programme includes the following topics: Visual Clues & Topic Ideas, Learning Games, Story Time, Song & Dance, Crafty Arts
