Bethlehem in Ghajnsielem (14th December 2013 - 5th January 2014)

Voted no. 2 Christmas Display in the world and a must-see for Christmas visitors to Malta and Gozo! Re-enactments of Mary and Joseph’s journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem are held in a specially designed set just outside of Mġarr Harbour with a life-size crib and about 150 actors. The atmosphere is unique with horses and turn mills as villagers and shepherds go about their daily routine. The three Wise Men will depart on horseback from a village in Malta to arrive at the nativity village in mid afternoon to see the newborn baby Jesus.
