Course outline Prices & course dates
Our five or ten-day immersive course offers you a chance to hone your English language skills in a supportive, professional environment while also discussing a range of aspects relevant to your day-to-day working life and wider roles and responsibilities.
The course is organised into broad and interesting topics with a strong practical element where you will have numerous chances to practise the delivery of mini ‘lectures’ in the English language. Two cultural trips over the two-week course will be the foundation for personal research and presentation techniques. You will be encouraged to reflect on your own practice, as well as offer peers support on theirs. In addition you will receive regular feedback from your course trainer who is on hand to support you with language advice.
By the end of the course you will have built the necessary skills to deliver your subject in English with confidence.
Week 1 - Communication, Presentation and Language Skills (Days 1-5)
This first week enables you to improve your communication, presentation and language skills in English, allowing you to deal with a number of situations with greater fluency and confidence.
Week 2 Day-to-Day Professional Life (Days 6-10)
This second week gives you the opportunity to explore aspects of your day-to-day professional life, allowing you to communicate in both the spoken and written form to colleagues and students alike

- Pronunciation and Correct Tense Forms
- Offsite Training Day
- Presentation of Cultural Training Day 1 [Mini Lecture]
- Dealing with Different Work-Based Scenarios
- Anatomy of a Lecture and Quality Control
- Assessment and Giving Written Feedback
- Offsite Training Day
- Presentation of Cultural Training Day 2 [Mini Lecture]
- Creative Technology for Quizzes and Assessment

Course are subject to a minimum of 8 persons. If you are a group of 8 or more persons then courses can be run on any dates for your group.

All courses require a one-off €100 registration fee per trainee and include: Course resources • WiFi on school premises • Europass Mobility Certificate • Alpha School CEFR Certificate of Attendance • One offsite training day per week (including entrance ticket to one attraction. This extra fee will be added to your final invoice.

Please note we require a minimum of 6 participants to hold any course. Please check with us first that we have the minimum number of participants for your desired dates. We can also hold any of our Teacher Training courses on request outside of the dates in our published calendar for closed groups.
